What to do

This guided tour will show you a different side of Cuba — beyond the beaches and the hustle of the cities — as you explore the Zapata Peninsula, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the island’s most breathtaking natural regions. Along the way, you'll pass through rural towns and farmland that reflect the simplicity and authenticity of Cuban life.

The first stop is a crocodile farm, where you'll have the chance to observe these impressive creatures in a safe environment, while learning about their conservation and ecological importance. It’s a fascinating visit that combines wildlife interaction with environmental education.

Next, the experience continues with a speedboat ride through the canals of the Laguna del Tesoro (Treasure Lake). Surrounded by mangroves and unique aquatic scenery, the journey ends at Guamá, a peaceful and private hotel located in the middle of the lake. It’s the perfect setting to relax and take in a landscape that’s entirely different from the Cuban coast. The tour also includes a visit to Caleta Buena or Punta Perdiz (depending on availability), where you can enjoy snorkeling, open bar, and relaxation in a unique Caribbean atmosphere.

Throughout the journey, you'll also get a glimpse into Cuban rural culture, discovering local traditions, ways of life, and the country’s rich history. This contrast between the calm countryside and the vibrant coastal cities offers a deeper understanding of Cuba’s diversity.

With transportation and a guide included, this tour is a perfect way to explore a different side of the island, blending nature, culture, and adventure into one unforgettable day.
